SunSmart Shade Initiative Queensland
Star Outdoor feels privileged to be able to support the Cancer Council in its endeavour to reduce the impact of cancer on Australians. We have been supplying schools and sporting clubs all over Australia with Cancer Council endorsed UPF50+ sun protection marquees for over a decade. You can apply for funding today, as part of the SunSmart Shade Creation Initiative.
The SunSmart Shade Creation Initiative has been developed by Cancer Council Queensland and the Department of Health to assist not-for-profit organisations that cater for children aged 0 – 18 years to increase shade. Funding has been provided by the Queensland Department of Health to improve the sun safety of Queensland children.
Queensland-based not-for-profit early childhood centres, schools, junior sporting organisations, OSH services and youth community groups are invited to apply and can receive 50% of the total cost of their shade project with a maximum of $2,000 for portable shade and up to $5,000 for permanent shade.
Applications close 5pm Friday March 18, 2016.
