As a major supporter of the Salvation Army Emergency Services (SAES), NRMA donated 22 co-branded marquees and walls to promote their association in event marketing campaigns. Following successful supply arrangements with Star Outdoor in 2010 & 2011 for the Milo in2Cricket Cup, we called upon
Star Outdoor again to assist with the re-brand to Milo’s T20 Blast School Cup. For this program, Cricket Australia and Milo teamed up to give girls and boys a chance to take part in fast, fun and active play to further develop their cricket skills, social skills, physical fitness and sportsmanship.
A total of 198 Feather Banners and 66 Rope Up Banners that emphasised fun, excitement & involvement.
The goods produced gave spirit to the program. All items were designed and delivered on time and on budget, replicating the consistency we have grown to know Star Outdoor for. In March 2012, McDonald’s needed to issue over $20,000 worth of branded marquees to our grass-root Sponsorships in Brisbane – The Junior AFL & Junior Rugby League Clubs.
Star Outdoor were able to fulfil our order and turnaround a week ahead of schedule. Star also managed and handled all logistics associated. In most cases the Clubs would contact Star direct and arrange their own logistics solutions. It was great that I could rely on their resources to manage this.
With Star Outdoor’s involvement, I had total faith and peace of mind knowing that all Clubs would receive their goods before the first game of the season. To date, all product-quality feedback from the Clubs we sponsor has been positive.

Surf Life Saving Australia
As the official sun protection partner of Surf Life Saving Australia (SLSA), Woodside Energy are focused on ensuring that volunteer surf lifesavers are protected from the harsh Australian Sun when on patrol at the beach. To help achieve this goal Woodside were determined to provide every SLS club with their own branded marquee – cue Star Outdoor.
In total 311 marquees, all with specific club names, needed to be developed and shipped to individual addresses. With the great work Star Outdoor was already doing for the SLS Foundation, there really was no other choice.
For the season 2011/12 Star Outdoor created 100 marquees and distributed them to the clubs. Star Outdoor have once again excelled for the 2012/13 season, as we have 211 marquees on their way to clubs right now.
Star Outdoor have been amazing every step of this process. The task was large as we needed to get approval from every state and territory before going ahead. Star Outdoor have been patient, understanding and professional and we couldn’t have asked for anything more … and the marquees look fantastic sitting on our beaches.

BHP Billiton & Martumili Artists
Martumili is the art enterprise of the Martu people whose communities span the remote east Pilbara region. Funded by their Principal Partners at BHP Billiton, and hosted by the Shire of Pilbara, Martumili were contracted for a 20 marquee project providing shade to school, community and sporting groups in Jigalong, Parnngurr, Punmu, Kunawarrtiji, Nullagine, Warralong and Newman.
The Martumili artists created a series of paintings that Star Outdoor were able to reproduce onto the canopies of the marquees. One painting included a piece of works gifted to the Royal Collection when Martumili artists met her Royal Highness Queen Elizabeth II at the National Gallery of Victoria, October 26, 2011. All marquees were supplied as a kit providing everything the end user needed to safely set up, pack up and transport the unit with ease.
The project has created a series of unique marquees that are clearly branded with BHP’s message of support. The marquees not only looked amazing and were useful to the recipient, but provided an impressive platform used to bring international opportunity to the Martumili artists. Two of the marquees have been used to promote the Shire at their largest Festival in the region and many weekends you can see representatives of BHP Billiton manning one of these stands at a locally supported event.
